This weeks Guest co host is Susan from Lugar and Company I confess. Palm raised. I did it. I do it. Create that is! My mother always said, "She can't help it -she always has to be making something!" And a husband and three sons later, it's still true! I'm busy lots of days with helping place school teachers in Afghanistan, China, Turkey and Indonesia with my HR job, but watercolors blossom on the oft times. The etsy shop: http://simply barefoot.etsy.com touts some critters or ladies gone watercolorish in collage work, so does the blog. My blog centers a lot on the love of God, a little on watercolors and a world about His grace. Sometimes it's about hard things, please see the three posts on "Sarah." (There is a search box). Work travels may find me in Kabul or on the Indonesian isle of Batam, but never too far from a sketchbook and pencil. (There are short iMovies on the blog, visit Indonesia!) In any country fresh new critters scramble about my head, eager for me to hunt a paintbrush. Our creativity is a mere splinter reflection of His endless wonder, His forever grace.... Thank you, Katherine and Angel!
Thank you for being our guest host today Susan

Door Wreath

Hello Friends

I've been wanting to create a new spring/summer door wreath lately.
I like to make one every spring but I'm running late this year.
Anyway today I decided to go for it.
So I went outside for some inspiration.
I love all the signs of summer, the green leaves, the budding trees, the smell of the air, everything.
So during my inspirational walk I found this bush of, well basically, weeds.
They were very green and pretty weeds.
So I decided that this is what I would use for my wreath.
I gathered some branches, some of the weed branches, twigs, grass, basic outdoor items.
I bent the branches, tied them together with grass, you know, wilderness style.
I had Jacob helping me pick up twigs and we had a great time.
Now let me unveil my masterpiece and you can tell me what you think.

Well as you might have guessed I didn't get as inspired outside as I would have liked.
So my next brilliant idea was to search Pinterest.
I found some awesome spring/summer wreaths that I pinned for inspiration.
I've got more on my Pinterest page if you want to take a look at those too.
Below are some ideas of wreaths that I thought I'd share with you just in case
anyone else out there is having the same creative issues as me currently.

Yeah, these are a little better than my own creation, but hey I tried. LOL

Till next time, go create something.
