Recycling Pringles Cans to a Desk Organizer

I love recycling!   I save just about everything.
Today I want to show you what I did with some Pringles cans, Washi tape and an old lazy susan that was at the verrrrrrry back of a cabinet for years.

My office at work is pretty plain and dull.  It's a tiny little room that I don't even want to spend any time in because it is so dreary.  So this week I decided to see what cheap ways I could decorate my space to make if feel a little cozier and add a touch of warmth.

So I decided I desperately needed a pencil holder for my desk.  I'd been saving some Pringles cans until I decided what I could make out of them.  This is what I came up with.  Keep in mind that it is a no-spend project.

I cut a couple of cans to the sizes I wanted.  Dug out a roll of Washi tape that I liked and a few pieces of scrap papers left over from some former project.

I measured out the paper to wrap the containers with and used a hot glue gun to hold the paper in place.  I did the same with the top of the lazy susan; just cutting scraps and gluing them down in a random pattern.

After my cans containers were wrapped and my base arranged to my liking
I started with my border.
Using small strips of Washi tape I went around the edge to add some pizzaz!

When all my pieces were covered and the glue dry it was time to
 assemble my new treasure.

I started with the largest container and worked from there to get the configuration I liked.

The cute little container below is a combination of a cut can and I used
the plastic lid for the bottom.
I split the lid in half then glued it together at the tips.
Then just covered it with Washi tape.
Glued the small container to the split covered lid.

Here's my finished product.
I really like it and it didn't cost me a dime.

Below is how it looked on my desk with my supplies in it.  Love It!

Thanks for spending time with me today.
Hope you have been inspired to create something today.

Hugs
Angel
