DIY Christmas Gift Tags

My family and I are starting a new tradition this year.  For Christmas, we are going to be teaming up with my mother-in-law, and we are going to have a full day of baking Christmas cookies!  There are so many people to thank this time of year.  What better way to thank someone than with homemade cookies?
I then began to think of how we would package the cookies and a thought came to mind.  Why not use some cookie cutters to make cute gift tags?  These are extremely easy to make and chances are you probably have everything you need in your house.

Supplies:
  • Scrapbook pages
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Cookie Cutters
  • Raffia or string
  • Paper bags (lunch size)
  • Hole punch
First, gather together all of your supplies.

Trace the outside of the cookie cutter on the back of the scrapbook page.  Then fold the page so that you will get multiple cutouts.

Cut out the trace of the design you decided on.  I was able to get 3 hearts, 3 rectangles, and 3 snowmen out of 1 piece of scrapbook paper.
Leave a message on the blank back of the cutout.  Let that person know how much their time or kindness means to you.
Decide where you would like to put the hole to wrap the raffia or string around.  Punch a hole into the design and then string the raffia through and tie the gift up.  I made just a simple bow to wrap up the bags.

That’s it!  Super easy and you could even do this while waiting for the cookies to come out of the oven!
What is your favorite Christmas tradition with your family?
Blessings,
Kelly
