Moist Marble Cake
1 1/4 cups cake flour
1 package instant Vanilla Pudding
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup sugar
3 eggs, room temperature
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup milk, room temperature
1/3 cup unsweetened dark cocoa powder
1/3 cup hot water
Preheat over to 350 degrees
Sift dry ingredients together in medium bowl except the sugar
In a larger bowl mix sugar, eggs & vanilla extract
Now mix in your milk and slowly add your dry mixture until smooth
In small bowl mix dark cocoa powder and 1/3 cup hot water until smooth. Add about 1/3 of your cake batter and blend until smooth. You just created your marbling batter.
Now spray your baking pans with a baking spray with flour. Divide your yellow cake batter between your pans. Now take a large spoon and spoon dollops of your marbling mixture in various places on your yellow mixture. Then take a knife and rake in random motions from dark to light to spread your marbling throughout your yellow mixture.
Bake for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cakes cook completely before attempting to apply your icing.
3 cups confectioners sugar
3/4 cups unsweetened cocoa
1 stick softened butter
4 tablespoons heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla
Sift sugar and cocoa in medium bowl.
Add your softened butter and vanilla
Now while slowing stirring add your heavy cream
Blend until smooth and creamy
When cake is cooled frost and enjoy.
