Druide Facial Cleanser and Makeup Remover in Avocado Chamomile

We all have those days when we just wish we could cleanse our face and remove our makeup quickly without having to go through multiple steps and products in the hopes of getting more sleep time after a long day. I've been on the lookout for such an all in one skincare product for a while now, so when I came across the Druide Facial Cleanser and Makeup Remover in Avocado Chamomile, I knew I had to put it to the test. This was my first encounter with this brand, however I had read great reviews from a fellow blogger who recommended this particular item so when I saw it at my local health store I grabbed it straight away.

The Druide Facial Cleanser and Makeup Remover in Avocado Chamomile has a creamy texture that is slightly runny. What I love so much about it is that it is all natural, certified organic, vegan, and is gentle enough to use on the eyes because the ingredients are non-irritating. Chamomile is known for its soothing and anti-inflammatory properties, while avocado is rich in fatty acids and is packed with anti-aging vitamins so that skin looks rejuvenated and moisturized. Other key ingredients include wheat and rice protein, shea butter, aloe leaf powder, vitamin E, magnolia flower oil and mandarin peel oil. You can just imagine how lovely this facial cleanser smells! Just a pump and all of my makeup is easily removed - it even melts off the darkest and most stubborn long lasting mascaras and liners I own. Despite all of these rich ingredients, it stills feels very light on the skin and has a very delicate, non-overwhelming aroma.

This hand down is the most "soft" and non-stripping cleanser I have ever tried, and I will go as far as say it is my new holy grail facial product. If you have sensitive skin like me, I cannot recommend the Druide Facial Cleansing Lotion and Makeup Remover enough. I was able to snatch it up for $13 in store, which I though was a steal for how pure this product is, especially when compared to other natural brands whose products start at $20+.

Honeybee Gardens Pressed Mineral Powder Review

Hello again from Natalie Loves Beauty! Whenever I feel the need to let my skin breathe, I enjoy having makeup free days, however sometimes I need a little extra help when my skin is having a mind of its own and I still have to look put together. I've recently cut back quite a bit on liquid foundation and have been wearing mineral makeup on most days. I first tried the Honeybee Gardens Pressed Mineral Powder almost a year ago when I hauled a bunch of natural beauty products here, and have recently repurchased because I love it so much that I find myself reaching for it almost daily. If you've been looking for a natural base that is easy on the wallet, you should definitely keep reading because this natural powder might just be the one you've been looking for!

The Honey Gardens Pressed Mineral Powder comes in a few different shades and I thankfully found a perfect match for my fair skin in the shade Supernatural. What I especially love about this pressed powder is that it is super gentle and works wonderfully on my sensitive skin as it is free of talc, parabens and fragrance. Not only that, but it is also gluten-free, cruelty-free and 100% vegan (despite the misleading "honeybee" brand name), and is made with certified organic ingredients. This was my first time trying such a "green" face powder, and I really didn't know what to expect, but I have definitely found a favourite in this one. The ingredients are ones I can easily pronounce (which is always a good sign), with the main ones being mica, tapioca and corn starch, goji berry oil, bamboo powder, and rosemary leaf oil.

Unlike all other powders I have tried, there is no synthetic smell to it, it feels super hydrating and also blends effortlessly. This product isn't quite full coverage, however it is buildable and on my acne-prone skin provides light to medium coverage which is really helpful when wanting to cover blemishes and scarring. I've been loving pairing it with my Ecotools Domed Bronzer Brush as the dense bristles pick up just the right amount of product. If I have it on for a long time, I sometimes have to blot my t-zone since I have combination skin and it tends to get oily, but some days I can even get by without reaching for a tissue with this powder. The packaging isn't the fanciest, but what is great about it is that the metallic compact can be popped out easily which is great if you enjoy depotting your makeup and keeping it all in one place. The compact is also super travel friendly (you can even see it in my travel makeup bag video here).

Price-wise, you can get this powder for under $8 on iherb.com, which I find to be an incredible deal considering drugstore powders usually cost more. The compact holds 7.5 g or 0.26 oz of product, which lasts me a good 4-6 months.

Beauty Without Cruelty

Welcome back to another monthly segment from Natalie Loves Beauty! Today I wanted to share a step in my skin care routine I used to not give much thought to - toning. I never really understood why it was such an important part of a good facial regimen. Makeup removers are guilty of not always removing all impurities from the face, so a good toner gets the job done without stripping the skin. I have only tried a couple of toners in the past but they haven't left me very impressed.  I have even tried using witch hazel for toning purposes, and although I really liked the results it provided, it is quite heavy scented (read more on my experience here) so I have been on the lookout for a natural alternative that is not so heavy on the nose. Revitalize Your Lips

Today I want to share a little beauty secret for your lips,

Winter is synonymous with having to combat dehydrated skin, and ours lips definitely tell us when they are in need of some extra TLC during this time of the year. I have always been a heavy lip balm user (to the point where there might be an addiction issue), especially during the colder months, but it's only in recent years that I have been using a lip scrub in my daily routine. I first tried a DIY recipe using olive oil, sugar and honey which was super easy to make, and although it provided satisfying results, I thought I would give a store-bought one a try to see how it would compare. When I went to Lush and tried their Mint Julips lip scrub (reviewed here), I just loved it so much that I never went back to the homemade version.

This time around I decided to try Lush's Popcorn lip scrub (or Baiser Soufflé in French), and once again it has left me super impressed! At first I was a little concerned about not liking the popcorn flavor, but it's actually not a straight-up butter flavor, but more of a sweet and salty one (and as with all of Lush's lips scrubs you can totally lick the scrub off your lips as it contains all-natural ingredients). I simply scoop out a small amount from the jar and rub in against my lips for about 30 seconds or until they feel nice and smooth, and then just lick the remainder off. If ever I forget to apply the scrub before bed, the next morning my lips don't feel as smooth, even if I applied a heavy balm the previous night!

I would highly recommend trying Lush's lip scrub if you haven't already, they cost $9.95, and although it sounds like a lot for a lip scrub, it stays good for 14 months and each of these little jars of goodness have lasted me ages (over a year to be exact), which is amazing considering I now use a scrub every single day!
