I've seen sugared cranberries year after year on various blogs and websites and thought they'd be hard to make. Plus, would they really taste good or were they just used as decorations? Then I started researching. Some folks just dipped their cranberries into sugar water, dried them, and then covered them in sugar. Pretty? Yes. Tasty? Not so sure. Fresh cranberries = TART!
A few weeks ago, I told you that Mona from Craft Klatch had challenged me to a “craft-off”. Our supplies would consist of recycled toilet paper tubes, buttons, glitter and gemstones. What to do? Well, we both worked some late hours on this one. Poor Mona even had nightmares! But we both came up with something unique that you won’t see anywhere else. So, are you ready for the reveal? Here are my Holiday Tree Napkin Rings made from recycled toilet paper tubes!
I think I'm a crafting roll. Last week I transformed sauce tin cans into pretty white containers. If you missed that post you can click HERE to see it. And now this week I have a cereal box craft project for you.
This isn't a new craft but it is decorated differently. To see what I mean click HERE. Oh and the instructions on how to make these picture frames is also on that post.
Okay so I started with a discarded cereal box, glue, white felt, white material, white ribbon and white beads.
When it comes to being healthy, don’t neglect your nails! Your nails matter, too.
The nail is a common site of injury, so temporary changes in your nail’s appearances shouldn’t be cause for immediate alarm. However, if the nail changes in appearance for longer than two weeks, it is always a good idea to have a doctor diagnose the problem.
Hi Everyone! Today we are sharing the most fabulous homemade gift- Homemade Vanilla. These make great simple and easy presents. Mine is almost ready and I can’t wait to use it in all of my Christmas cooking. Make sure to make an extra big bottle for yourself
The holiday season never seems to last long enough for me. I’m always running around with last minute details no matter how far in advance that I plan. This is doubly true with holiday house guests! So instead of planning for weeks in advance for my holiday house guests, I came up with the top 10 last minute prep ideas to make your house guests feel at home. It’s true that my fridge may not be clean and my baseboards will definitely not have been dusted, but these 10 items provide the most bang for the buck if you’re strapped for time!
Fall is definitely my favorite time of year for fashion. I love boots, scarves, leggings and the rich colors of fall. Being comfy and cozy is a must for me this time of year. I like to wear cute affordable clothes that allow me to chase after two kiddos, but still make me feel good. When I make myself get up and get dressed in the mornings, it helps me be a lot more productive and feel better about myself - especially if I have to run errands. When I stay at home all day, it can be very tempting to stay in my pajamas or sweatpants all day. I have just made up my mind to make myself do it and it has definitely increased my productivity.
After a couple months of Amazon Subscribe & Save, Joe & I realized that our eyes were a little bigger than our stomach when ordering 3 containers of Oatmeal per month. Although the unintended purpose, these make ideal storage containers. They just needed some sprucing up!
Is it just me or do you find a nutcracker creepy? I am referring to those evil looking wooden soldiers that seem to haunt a perfectly good Christmas as they somehow find their way to being a staple during the Yuletide season. I was told they are meant to look scary, to ward off evil spirits. Those huge teeth and angry eyes .....shudder!! My former Danish neighbors used to display a waist-high nutcracker next to their Christmas tree every year and it scared the crap out of my boys when they were little. We could see it from our window. It looked really creepy at night when the lights were out and you could still see those ginormous white teeth under the blinking Christmas lights. Eeeek!
You might think the obsession of Frozen is over but you might want to think again! The cold, wintery weather only reminds us of Elsa and Olaf which then brings up Frozen all over again. So this year be prepared for your little’s obsession and give them Elsa’s Frozen Hot Cocoa!
