What I've Learned From Grandpa Ed
from Two Teens and Their Momma

Last Friday I posted my gratitude list for the month, and I included my Grandpa Ed, who will be 96 in September.  There was unanimous love for grandpa in my comments, so today I'd like to share a few of the things I've learned from him.  You can't make it to his age without some great words of wisdom, right?  Like I said on Friday, I want to be just like him when I grow up.
You can’t have a holiday without some sort of cheesecake. It is against the law, or something!! Cheesecake is such a great summer treat and these red, white and blue cheesecake bars are perfect for the upcoming holiday.

Non Toxic Sunscreen Recipe
Summer is upon us!  Which means for the fair skinned it’s time to cover up or lather up! Conventional store bought sunscreen can be laden with harmful chemicals which have been questioned to cause more harm then good.  CNN did a study where it was found that 25% of 800 tested sunscreens were effective at protecting skin without the use of potentially harmful ingredients, which means that, 75% of sunscreens contain harmful ingredients!

Let's talk about FAITH | Forever Ashley
With so many big changes coming our way now and in the next few weeks I’ve been finding it hard to stay strong in my faith in God.   It’s never a matter of having faith that He exists (I know He does) but rather it is about having faith that everything is going to be ok, that it is going to work out, and that we are doing the right thing.

Lip Balm or Lip Gloss Holder Key Ring!!!

When it comes to cookies, I’m all about soft, chewy and fudge-like textures. None of that crisp and crunchy stuff for me, thank you very much.

Blaverry | Cruise Chino Shorts pattern
We love the Cruise Chino Shorts from the 2014 Nautical Collection at Blaverry. After my tween summer shorts patterns post, several of you asked about Blaverry patterns- so here’s my answer.
