Homemade Sandwich Bread Variation: Oatmeal
~Taylor-Made Homestead~

Well y’all already know that I make an effort to supply my handsome RancherMan with his favorite Homemade Sandwich Bread, he loves it so much more than the commercial stuff and I feel good knowing that my bread is filled with only natural ingredients I recognize and can pronounce.  Plus DANG, the lazy-girl er, I mean efficient side of me loves that my *KitchenAid Mixer makes it so much easier!  But I find myself lately with an extra supply of oatmeal and although I’m using often with both hot, hearty Flavored Oatmeal as well as my own Homemade Pumpkin Granola for breakfasts,

Antique Chair Spindle Wooden Garden Caddy
The Interior Frugalista

It's time for the monthly Power Tool Challenge and the theme this month is Summer. In the March challenge, I shared how I turned an Antique Chair Back into a Bird Feeder. Well for this month's challenge I dug back into my bucket of chair parts to inspire me for this project. My project this month is an Antique Chair Spindle Wooden Garden Caddy.

Scriptures of Encouragement
Graceful Coffee

These are some scriptures that I find super encouraging and hopefully you will too! I know that by Wednesday the week can seem like it’s dragging on and on. So these verses hopefully will encourage you to get to the weekend.

Chocolate French Toast with Peanut Butter
Flavours & Frosting

Let´s face it guys, how can you go wrong with chocolate french toast smothered with peanut butter and chocolate spread..?

You just can´t! YUM Yum Yum!

Melting S'mores Pie
Lamberts Lately

I got the idea to try it last summer after s'mores became kind of the "in flavor" (it seems like every season has one of those lately).  When I get an idea for a blog post that isn't scheduled for a specific day yet, I just jot it down in a list on my to-do list app (that way, I have kind of a bank of ideas to look through when I need a post).

Doesn't it feel great when you know you've inspired someone?

At the height of my career, I had a staff of 50 people.
In the most basic terms, my job was to make sure the work got done.
But, really, the most important thing was to inspire them --
to do their best possible work...

Are you outside with your kids for about an hour before you realize you forgot sunscreen? Guilty! Or, perhaps, you are super attentive and put it on before heading out, but forget to reapply after a while. No matter your individual scenario, there is a giant likelihood you are making these 5 mistakes when applying sunscreen to your kids (and even yourself).

Cherry-O Cream Cheese Pie is a luscious mixture of cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice and vanilla extract poured into a graham cracker pie crust and topped with cherry pie filling. The recipe for Cherry-O Cream Cheese Pie is quick, easy to prepare, and there’s no cooking or baking required!

Monday Inspiration #11 - Patrotic 4th of July DIYs

Welcome to some

from

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  It's been soooo hot here that we spent most of our time in the pool or under a shade tree.

So, let's get Inspired

This week I am sharing

I have gotten addicted to pudding cups…so when I needed to come up with an idea for a patriotic recipe or craft, I immediately thought about a red, white and blue pudding cup with berries. I loved how they turned out! My husband and I ate them all…we couldn’t get enough of them!

I’m all about fun holiday foods. They are just a lot of fun to create, share and enjoy. With summer comes hot weather and makes me wanting frozen goodies on holidays- with 4th of July coming up, I wanted to do something patriotic but with a little bit of a twist- using frozen custard in place of ice cream for some fabulous brownies a la mode.  Yes, I said Frozen Custard. Inspired by the classic American treat that has been enjoyed by families for almost a century, Dreyer’s/EDY’S® Frozen Custard is rich, extra thick and creamy and made with fresh milk from local farms, without any artificial colors or flavors. It’s the PERFECT frozen treat for an Independence Day celebration, although I could be swayed in a heartbeat to enjoy it any day, any time.

I love the red, white and blue! I usually wait to get my Patriotic decor out until closer to the 4th of July, but this year, I just couldn’t wait. It feels so appropriate to show how proud you are to be an American and it’s just so darn cute! This project is so super simple but I’m so in love with my ping pong flag.

The classic flag cake is a family staple every year for the 4th of July. Most of us know about it and do it ourselves, but for those who don't, here's a quick how-to to make your own delicious (and fairly nutritious) flag cake this year!

The 4th of July is right around the corner!!  I don’t know about you, but we have a big barbeque with lots of festive food!  I love really easy ideas.  When I was serving berries for breakfast the other day, I added whipped cream for my hubby (it’s the only way he’ll eat them) and I notice – hey – these are red, white and blue!

Next to Christmas and their birthdays, the 4th of July is my children’s favorite holiday!  We all love decorating for the 4th of July and am so excited to add a few patriotic decorations to my home this year!  It has been a while since I made a wreath so I am excited about this patriotic one I whipped up!  This cute 4th of July Wreath will be a cute addition to my home this year!  The last Patriotic Wreath I made was this one here.  Which I still think it cute by the way, but I wanted something a little more Americana, something a little more rustic and I really do love how this 4th of July Wreath turned out!

Trifles are one of my favorite desserts to make and serve – actually I think they might just be my favorite. The flavor combinations are endless. In addition to the fruit in this strawberry blueberry trifle recipe there is white cake, and pudding mixed with whipped topping. And for even more fun, sprinkles and red chocolate stars that are so fun for Memorial Day or 4th of July celebrations.

For me, popsicles spell summer. I always have a stash freezing in my freezer ready to be handed out as summery treats. This Fourth of July recipe is a colorful, patriotic take on popsicles. It is a great way to use up the summer berries and are healthy too. Thanks Martha Stewart Living for this festive recipe.

It’s never too early to start preparing your 4th of July decorations and making a wonderful patriotic wreath is the perfect project to begin with. The wreath can beautify your festive entrance or your interiors. The best part of this wreath is that it is fairly easy to make and what’s even better is that you can use your most favorite patriotic symbols to enhance its looks. Make it rustic and vintage or go for a more modern look by using vibrant colors, it’s all up to your individual gusto. So don’t waste any more time, gather the necessary supplies and follow the few steps needed to have you very own, special 4th of July Decorations Wreath.

You could use them plain or painted a solid color for other holidays or even for everyday, but I wanted to copy my inspiration version which happened to be red, white and blue.

Back in April I showed you guys my front porch makeover for our new home. Well now that it’s summer and the 4th of July is fast approaching I decided to spruce up the space with some good ol’ red, white and blue.

Thank you to all who share every week at Wake Up Wednesday Linky Party.
Thank you for visiting and I hope you found something that Inspired you.
See you next Monday, same time, same place for more inspiration.
