Sweet Potato Pie

Ingredients

2 cups peeled, cooked sweet potatoes
1  cups sugar
1/2 stick melted butter
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup milk
9-inch unbaked pie crust ( I love pie crust so I use 2 and let them thaw and then mold them together into one thick crust)

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
For the filling, using an electric hand mixer, combine the potatoes, 1 cup of the sugar, the butter, eggs, vanilla, salt, and spices. Mix thoroughly. Add the milk and continue to mix. Pour the filling into the pie crust and bake for 35 to 45 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Place the pie on a rack and cool to room temperature before serving.

Top with Cool Whip or cream whip of choice.
Serve & Enjoy!

  7. I was watching Thanksgiving Live on the Food Network today and they took a poll for the most liked pie for Thanksgiving in the US. I couldn't believe pumpkin won! I guess I come from a family where sweet potato pie was always the star. I thought everyone thought like this LOL. Thanks so much for sharing with us on Countdown in Style! Don't forget to come back on Friday to see if you are featured.

P.S. I featured your post from last week. :)
