I'm so glad you dropped by today.
Today is anything you made involving paper.
And if you don't have a papercraft but want to show your creative
work you can certainly link that up also.
After all blogging is about getting together
and having fun with our friends.
So come on friend and show us what you got.
My papercraft project today is that I recycled/upcycled last years pictures
from a wall calendar that I thought was so pretty that I could not
bear the thought of throwing it away.
I took my 3 favorite pictures in the calendar and then
I went to the Dollar Tree and for $1 each I purchased
three 5x7 photo frames in a green/gold color to match my spare bedroom.
Then it was as simple as cutting the pictures down to fit the frames and I was done.
Then it was as simple as cutting the pictures down to fit the frames and I was done.
So below are my new wall decorations that cost me a total of $3.
I think these turned out pretty darn cute.
What do you think?
till next time

What a great idea, I ended up painting over an old canvas that I had and put something new on top, but never thought of doing this before. This is one to keep in mind. lol. Jen :-) x

Hi Angel!
ReplyDeleteI love doing that. I always buy calendars thinking that when the year ends I can reuse the images for something pretty. I love how they look in your space.

Darn it, now I wish I had not thrown out my calendar. Thanks for the inspiration. I don't have a craft I have done or I would link up.
ReplyDeleteSuch a clever way to use calendar prints.

You did great Angel. I've been hanging on to a calendar for years with old fashioned diner signs (like "coffee 5 cents") I still plan on doing this some day :-)

Yes it is a really great idea, and one I´ve used a few times too. It´s such a shame to waste some really great pics sometimes, when you´ve had a wonderful looking calendar like this. I´ve also sometimes used some of the images as background for a new card or a wallhanging or something like that, if I´ve had some I liked a lot. Yours looks wonderful hun.
ReplyDeleteSuch a clever idea! Thank you for spreading JOY and sharing at the Oh What a HAPPY Day party.
