Cow in a New Dress

Hello Everyone
Hope everyone had a great weekend.
Jacob is asleep so I can work on my blog now.
Life around my house is never without something to do.  Whew, I'd forgotten how hard it is taking care of a little one.  I feel as if I run from the time I wake up until he tires out for the night.
I guess that's why we have children in our youth.  I could probably write an entire blog about having children in your middle age.  Of course it is good that I have a full life of knowledge to better care for him and I've been a nurse forever which keeps me from being in the pediatricians office weekly.
Now, I just need a caffeine IV to keep my energy up.  I am drinking about 10 coffee a day now as sleep is no longer an option.  LOL
However I have been working on an Easter present for a sweet little girl.
She loves animals, so I purchased this cute little cow at Walmart and started working on this little ruffled dress for her.  It's far from perfect but I like it anyway.  I've got some more work to do but so far, so good.  I have enough material for a little cap but I'm not sure how to make it yet.
I'll figure something out, I still have time.  It won't be perfect but I think she will like it.
She gave Jacob his first kiss so she won my heart and I have to do something special for her.
Jacob of course pushed her away and said, "Yuck" but she didn't seem to mind.
Hope you like it.

Best

Angel

  1. I definitely understand about having children when you are young. I had some when I was young and the energy level was so much better. I had my youngest son when I was much older and I feel like he has had an overall much better parent. I even think he would agree.

I love the cow and I'm sure a little girl will love it. My grandsons would agree with Jacob.

  2. I'm with you on running all over the place all day. I swear, it's when I sit down or start a task that my toddlers become the most needy and pull me away once more. However, I'd much rather be at home with them than working outside the home! Your cow is super cute - how nice that you are giving her away to a little girl. :)

    XOXO,
